Ghana Technology University has released the long awaited admission form for prospective undergraduate, matured, diploma and postgraduate students.

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) form is now available online via www.gctu.edu.gh and registration of GCTU form has begun.

All interested and eligible candidates who have met with the GCTU admission requirements can download the online application form directly via this page.

Candidates applying for admission into Ghana Communication Technology University should note that GCTU basic entry requirements is acquiring credits (A1 – C6 in WASSCE and A – D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science (for Science related programmes) or Social Studies (for non-Science related programmes) and three relevant elective subjects.

The Cost Price of the GCTU 2023 e-voucher for Ghanaian applicants is GH¢200.00, an international applicant is estimated to be from US$50 to US$100. This fee is mandatory and non-refundable for every applicant.


How to Apply for GCTU Admission Form

To successfully apply for the Ghana Communication Technology University admission form 2023/2024 academic year, you are advised to follow the instructions given below:

  1. Candidates should visit the GCTU admission portal –www.gctu.edu.gh and click on the ‘Apply Button’ or alternatively go to https://admission.gctu.edu.gh to apply.
  2. Candidates should purchase an e-voucher from any of the vendors listed below.
  3. Login with the form on the right hand side, using the voucher SERIAL and PIN that was provided to you.
  4. Select your mode of entry and indicate your entry type (i.e. Post WASSCE/SSCE, Post Diploma, Matured etc.). Clicks submit to start applying.
  5. Fill application form and attach your passport picture. The applicant’s passport picture should be in .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif format and must not exceed 100KB in size. Make sure you upload a picture showing your face clearly.
  6. Clicking the SUBMIT AND PRINT button will submit the form and generate a reference number which will be sent to the phone number you provided.
  7. Make sure you provide correct information before submitting the form. A change after form submission is not allowed.
  8. Finally, track and print your online application form.

Important Things to Note about GCTU Admission

  • Inconsistency in name or picture on registration slip is not acceptable to the university and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates.
  • Candidates’ names on their ‘O’ or ‘A’ Level Certificates, and other registration documents must be the same.
  • Candidates MUST be sixteen (16) years of age or above to be eligible for the exercise.
  • Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided the result will be available at resumption.
  • A change of programme after the submission of application forms will NOT be allowed.
  • Candidates must ensure that they register with their own valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.
  • Applicants are to ensure that application forms are posted early enough to be received before the deadline for submission as forms received after the deadline will not be processed.
  • Registration is online, therefore, candidates are not expected to be present physically on the university campus, but advised to register from any location.
