The WAEC Direct Result checker is made available by the West African Examinations Council for checking WAEC Exams Results.

The West African Examinations Council is Africa’s foremost examining board established by law to determine the examinations required in the public interest in the English-speaking West African countries, to conduct the examinations and to award certificates comparable to those of equivalent examining authorities internationally.

By this mandate, the Council is expected to:

  • Assist in the development of sound education;
  • Ensure that educational standards are maintained; and
  • Give the people of West Africa a vision of the great potentials which lie beyond examinations.

How to Access the WAEC Result Checker Portal

  1. Explore the WAEC main website
  2. Locate and click on the “Result Checker” button to proceed

How to Check WASSCE Results

  1. Access the WAEC Result Checker Portal
  2. Locate and click on the “WASSCE (school & private)” button to proceed
  3. Enter your Index Number.
  4. Select the Type of Examination (e.g.  WASSCE).
  5. Select your Examination Year (e.g. 2011.)
  6. Enter the Serial Number found on the Voucher.
  7. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher e.g. 012345678912.
  8. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.
  9. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes.

How to Check WASSCE Results

  1. Access the WAEC Result Checker Portal
  2. Locate and click on the “BECE (school & private)” button to proceed
  3. Enter your Index Number.
  4. Confirm Index number
  5. Select the Type of Examination (e.g.  BECE).
  6. Select your Examination Year (e.g. 2011.)
  7. Enter the Serial Number found on the Voucher.
  8. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher e.g. 012345678912.
  9. Check “I’m not a robot” box
  10. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes.
