Tap to Pay is a new contactless payment service that allows you to make payments using your Android smartphone or Garmin wearables. Here’s how to use it:

 

  1. Download the KCB app and create an account.
  2. Digitize your KCB Visa card through the KCB app.
  3. Open the KCB app and select NFC payments.
  4. Tap your phone on the contactless payment terminal.
  5. That’s it! You’ve just made a contactless payment with KCB.

 

To use the service, customers must first digitize their KCB Visa card through the KCB app. Once the card credentials are provisioned on their mobile device, users can simply open the KCB app, select NFC payments, tap their phone at the point of sale, and enter their PIN to complete the transaction.

The service is currently available to KCB customers who have Visa cards or Android smartphones with NFC technology. The maximum transaction amount for tap to pay is KES 10,000.
