The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service
(KUCCPS) reported on Thursday, June 15 that it has reopened its portal for students to verify the status of their applications for their first tertiary course.
How to Check KUCCPS Placement Results
In
a statement, the university placement body instructed 2022 Kenya Certificate of
Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to visit the portal to determine if they
had been provisionally placed in a higher education institution.
Those
who had not been scheduled for placement were also instructed to revise their
applications in accordance with the threshold points and their KCSE scores.
The
2022 KCSE applicants will be notified via SMS whether their application was successful
or not, according to KUCCPS.
Starting
Thursday, June 15 students began receive via text notification. Additionally,
the communication will be posted on your portal today 16th June.
“If
you applied earlier and failed to secure any of the courses you chose, you will
need to apply again. Those who have been placed in a course provisionally need
not reapply,” read the statement in part.
However,
successful applicants will not be informed of the course and institution to
which they have been admitted.
A
representative of the organization told Kenyans.co.ke that the university and
TVET placement details would be determined in due time.
“The
candidate will only be informed whether their application was successful or
not. The exact details of the course and the institution will be known later,”
the officials stated.
How to Check KUCCPS Placement Results
SMS
verification can be used to determine whether or not an application was approved.
KUCCPS is anticipated to send notifications to registered phone numbers
regarding the approval of the initial application.
Candidates
for the 2022 KCSE can also determine if their application was successful by
logging into their portal and reviewing the application status message.
How to Revise KUCCPS Placement Results
Those
who are unsuccessful can apply by visiting students.kuccps and
submitting an application based on their results and the threshold points
offered by various institutions for courses.
“The
cut off dates for this year are unavailable. The cut off points from previous
years are supplied as a guide,” KUCCPS added.
The
portal will be closed on June 27, 2023.
